Marcus McNeill, the Chargers offensive left tackle has ended his holdout by signing a one year deal worth just under half a million dollars.

He seems enthusiastic enough and put up a message on a social networking page "great to be back today.. GO BOLTS." Let's hope he can contribute to that....

No Pre Season Warm Up So Far For Roethlisberger..

The Steelers have been told by the NFL that Roethlisberger could participate in all of their preseason games. Roethlisberger's suspension would begin after the warm-up games.

However, the NFL's relaxed approach hasn't so far been matched by the Steelers franchise. Roethlisberger didn't event get to warm up in the 23-7 victory over the Detroit Lions on Satuday night.

Byron Leftwich was instead on duty as Big Ben was given the night off, despite petitioning to play a part in the game.

Tomlin has, however, indicated that Roethlisberger would get his chance - later in the preseason.

Indianapolis Colts Need Running Game...

With Manning, the Colts don't always need a running a game...it's just as well because they don't have one. Last season, Indianapolis came bottom of the NFL with their run attack, averaging less than one hundred yards a game. The view is that they will need to find a running game if they are to finish better than second place next season.

Favre Set for 20th NFL Season

The indestructable Brett Favre looks like he may be back for a 20th NFL season. Favre and the Vikings just missed out on a final last season and his aim will be to go a step further in the coming season and make it to Super Bowl.

The overtime loss still eats at Favre and it could be the catalyst that makes him give it at least one more try - hopefully beating the Saints along the way.

Super Bowl Odds on a fairytale season for the Vikings in 2010/2011 are around 15/1 or +1500.

The Worst Team in NFL History

Sorry fans but the Detroit Lions had the worst team in NFL history. With their stadium emptier than the nether regions of the universe, game day hotdog salesman going bankrupt and shirts given away to third world countries through lack of sales (well, it was nearly that bad!) 2008 was a bad year.

Oddly they went 4-0 in the pre-season and were then again 'perfect' in the regular season...going 0-16!

Quick stats:

517 points against.
-249 points differential.

It doesn't really get much worse.
